Alexander Rose is a 15 year old non binary musician.  Born in Ottawa, Ontario they’ve grown up with an unshakable love for music having started playing the piano at the young age of five.  As Alex matured they began going by the stage name “Ace” and, after the mandatory evacuation from their home in the 2016 Fort McMurray wildfires they turned to music more and more as a coping mechanism.  Now they can play a wide range of instruments spanning from most percussion to guitar and ukulele although, the piano will always be a comforting favourite.

There are several events that notably shaped this young musicians path towards pursuing the arts; one of these was experiencing the David Bowie exhibit at the AGO (art gallery of ontario) for their 7th birthday.  Ever since then Aces’ music style has been inspired by the bold colours and electric flair of performers like Bowie and, while some of their music is better described as indie for the most part they stick to their alternative rock roots.
